These terms govern your use of distillworks.com and the services Distill Works provides. By using our site or engaging our services, you agree to them. The specific scope, price, and deliverables of any engagement are set out in a written proposal or agreement, which controls if it conflicts with these terms.

Our services
We build static websites and provide SEO, Google Ads, and automation services for local businesses. Descriptions on this site are general. The exact services, timeline, and terms for your project are defined in the written proposal we provide before you commit.
Pricing and payment
- Website builds are a one-time fee. Hosting, updates, and our SEO service are billed monthly with no long-term contract, and you can cancel anytime.
- For Google Ads, you pay your ad spend directly to Google; our management fee is separate and stated in your proposal.
- Prices shown on the site are current starting points and may change. The price for your engagement is the one in your written proposal.
Ownership
You own the website code and content we build specifically for you. When you cancel hosting, we provide your site files. Distill Works retains ownership of its own underlying tools, templates, systems, and know-how, which are not transferred to you.
Your responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information and any content, access, or approvals we need to do the work, and to review and respond in a reasonable time so we can keep your project on schedule.
No guarantee of results
Search rankings, traffic, ad performance, and revenue depend on many factors outside our control, including search engines, competitors, your market, and your own business. We bring experienced, honest work and clear reporting, but we do not guarantee specific rankings, lead volume, or revenue, and any examples or past results are not a promise of future outcomes.
Cancellation
Monthly services are month-to-month. You can cancel anytime, and you keep the site files we built for you. One-time build fees already paid are non-refundable once work has begun, except as stated in your proposal.
Third-party services
Our work may rely on third-party platforms such as Google, hosting providers, and email delivery services. Those services have their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or actions.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Our services and this site are provided on an "as is" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, Distill Works is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for the services giving rise to the claim in the preceding twelve months.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Tennessee.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date above. Continued use of the site or services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
