The Challenge
Hillcrest Kennel has served the Nashville community since the 1950s — over 70 years of trusted pet boarding and grooming. But their online presence didn't reflect their reputation. Operating in a hyper-local market (10-mile service radius, 4 zip codes), they needed to show up when nearby pet owners search for boarding, grooming, and pet care. Their competitors were outranking them for basic local searches, and word-of-mouth alone wasn't reaching the next generation of pet owners who start every decision on Google.
The Strategy
We built a content strategy around seven pillars covering Hillcrest's core services and local expertise: boarding, pet grooming, pet health and safety, the local Nashville pet community, first-time pet owner guides, seasonal and holiday care, and cat care. Content targets the hyper-local searches pet owners actually make — 'dog boarding near Madison TN' or 'cat grooming East Nashville.' Each post is reviewed and published manually by the Hillcrest team through their dashboard, giving them full editorial control while the engine handles the research, writing, and SEO optimization.
